Later I was introduced to actual watercolor and found it an enchanting challenge; it remains my favorite. In Spain I entered the worlds of pen and ink, and oil, which are both essential elements of the Renaissance style I studied. I found them intriguing and wish to explore them farther, as I experienced a mere taste in Spain. " -2002 “I think it is God’s will that his children follow his example and create beautiful things using the gifts he’s given them, my gift is reflecting his creation in paint. We are all artists creating something; be it a novel, a business... a family, and we’re all a part of one grand masterpiece."-2003 Currently, Sonia works in Santa Fe as child care provider, graphics designer, heraldic illustrator and many other things. She is also very busy planning her wedding to Mr. Jason Adam Frayer, set for late September of 2006. "I consider myself blessed just for being alive to see how my own life has been guided and has played itself out. Indeed hindsight is a beautiful thing. I can honestly look at some of the event in my past and see how they connect to what I'm doing right now. And God is so good to me! True, I've had to put my art on something of a hold for a year now... Drawing here and there when I can, or working on small commissions. I know this waiting is "period" is for the best. Right now Jason and I are saving money for a house, where I will be able to set up my studio. So for now, (in the words of King David) 'I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry.' ~Psalm 40:1" |
